Ready in three steps.

1. Connect your Steam profile

Run /setup (or /dealio) in Discord. Pick your language on the welcome screen: Turkish, English, German or French. Then enter your Steam profile link, custom URL name or SteamID64. In Steam’s privacy settings, your profile and “Game details” must be public so Dealio can read your wishlist. If Steam hides it later, Dealio sends you one DM explaining the fix. Dealio never asks for your Steam password.

2. Choose your Steam Store country

Pick the country your Steam account actually shops in. Dealio suggests one from your Discord language but doesn’t check your location. Prices stay in the currency Steam shows for that country, with no estimated conversion.

3. Check the summary and turn on alerts

Dealio shows your Steam name, avatar and region before saving anything. When you confirm, it reads your wishlist and sends a welcome DM listing what’s already on sale. Those games don’t get a separate alert.

When will I get a DM?

Dealio checks your wishlist about every 30 minutes, and again right after Steam changes prices each day at 10:00 Pacific time, when most sales start. It sends a DM when a game goes on sale and meets your rule, or when its price reaches your target. Before sending, it checks the price once more. A game that already meets your rule when you finish setup, save a rule or change your default discount doesn’t trigger an alert. You’ll hear about it if the sale gets clearly better: at least 10 more discount points, or for a target that’s already met, a price at least 10% lower. A game below your rule alerts as soon as it meets it. If your Store region changes currency, targets in the old currency pause and your default discount applies until you save new ones. If many games go on sale at once, they arrive grouped, several to a message.

The Dealio panel

/dealio opens your private panel with four tabs:

• 🏠 Home: your best matching deal, a summary, Matching deals (every game that meets your rule right now, biggest discount first) and Check Steam now.
• 🎮 Wishlist: search and filter your games. Open a game to set its rule: your default discount, its own discount percentage or a target price. You can also mute it, see Steam’s historical low and recent price changes, or set a one-tap target at the lowest price.
• 🔔 Alerts: choose when alerts arrive (right away, outside do-not-disturb hours, or as one daily digest), set your time zone and see your alert history.
• ⚙️ Settings: pause or resume tracking, set your default minimum discount, send a test DM, change your region, language or Steam account, or delete your data.

Changing your Steam account

Open ⚙️ Settings and choose Change Steam account. The same profile form as setup opens. Dealio shows the new account and switches only after you confirm. Your default discount, alert timing and language stay the same, and paused tracking stays paused. Rules, target prices and waiting alerts for the old account’s games don’t carry over. Games already on sale in the new wishlist don’t trigger alerts.

Missing notifications?

Check the alert history in the 🔔 Alerts tab first. Do-not-disturb hours or a daily digest may be holding an alert. Make sure Discord allows DMs from Dealio (it needs a shared server, or Dealio added to your apps). Use Test DM in Settings or Test DM access in the alert history. If Dealio paused tracking because DMs were blocked, press Resume tracking in Settings after a successful test.

An old panel expired?

Panels are private to your account and stay open for a limited time. Use the 🏠 Dealio panel button or run /dealio again. Tracking continues after a panel closes.

Stop tracking

Pause tracking in ⚙️ Settings, or delete everything with Delete my data there or /delete-data (it asks you to confirm). See the privacy policy for what deletion covers.
